Brad-point drill bits have a sharp center point that starts and drills a hole right where you place it. This helps keep the bit from wandering when drilling for hinges, locks, strikes, and other hardware.
Each hex-shank bit has an adjustable stop collar. Set the collar to the drilling depth you need. When you do not need the depth stop, slide it up the bit and keep it out of the way.
The set includes the correct predrill sizes for full-thread #6, #8, #10, and #12 wood screws in hardwood and softwood.
